This is the Good News about Life in Jesus Christ!

Are you 100 percent sure that you will be with the Lord in heaven when you die?

If not, you will find the following truths helpful in understanding this important subject.  These truths are taken from the Holy Bible.

1. God loves you

For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.  John 3:16

God is good, He loves you and wants you to be with Him forever.

2. We Have All Sinned

As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one:  Romans 3:10

For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God. Romans 3:23

God’s Word reminds us that we all have sinned.  God is righteous but we are not.  We have all deliberately chosen to disobey God.

3. Sin Has a Penalty

For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.  Romans 6:23

A wage is a payment.  The payment for your sin is death and separation from God in a place that the Bible calls hell.

And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire.  This is the second death. Revelations 20:14

4. Jesus Paid the Penalty

But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.  Romans 5:8

The word commendeth means proved.  God proved His love for you by giving His own Son, Jesus, to die on the cross for your sins.

5. Believe on Jesus Today!

That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.  Romans 10:9

For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.  Romans 10:13

To believe on the Lord Jesus Christ as Saviour means to believe that He died for you, paid the price for your sin and rose to life again as the only way to heaven.  You can express your belief on Jesus by calling on Him in prayer.

Pray sincerely from your heart . . .

“Dear Jesus, I know that I am a sinner.  I believe that you died on the cross and paid the penalty for my sin.  I believe that you rose from the dead three days later.  I am placing my faith in you alone to forgive my sin and save me.  Thank you for giving me eternal life.  In Jesus’ name. AMEN.”
